The greatest fear of anyone around us, is of being not able
to grab a respectable position in this society. As it was said in a famous
movie that if we do not score good marks, we will not be able to grab a good
grad college, and if there is not a good grad college with good marks, there
would be no placement, no placement means no job, no job means no salary and no
salary means no marriage. This means our society at large, is moving just to
prove themselves on just a single front, i.e. to prove that they are worth
marrying?? Or for that case, to grab a job which pays them handsomely. Is it
the only thing left in our lives, to get money and family and get settled?
What about our own aspirations?
Each one of us, during our development stage, begin to
develop some hobbies, some passions which we feel connected to. Some are too
mainstream and some might even not be known to anyone accept us. If we stick to
one of our passion, we develop a skill related to it. It may be singing,
writing, dancing, playing, or for that case even interacting with others. Each
one of this, be it even the most rotten to look at have its own benefits. At
the first instance, this development of passion creates a sense of attachment
to an activity in our lives, which we enjoy a lot. It increases our dedication
and concentration as we begin to love what we are doing. In short, discovering one’s passion help we
become serious in our lives for a thing or an activity. This means our passion
helps us discover a sense of learning at one end and develop our personality at
the other.
But as we move ahead in life, we start succumbing to the
world and start to forget our passions due to pressures. This is because our
education make us a qualified individual highly focused only on his profession,
which is mostly far away from his personal passion. This means the thing he is
interested in, is never close to him. It stays far away from his daily life.
And he keeps revolving around things which do not mean much to him at personal
level. This reduces the interest and in this way, a person loses his own self. If
he would have been allowed to work as per passion and not just profession,
maybe he is able to grab a great salary package, but surely, he is not able to
get a more rewarding thing in his life, i.e. satisfaction.
Such a person, also, is not able to contribute much to the
work he does, as he just fulfil an obligation. Is it not then beneficial to let
a person work as per his own abilities and passion?
