There is always a silver lining in every cloud…. part I

"And the award for best lead actor, 2030 goes to Arnav Singh."

All the eminent personalities of the international film industry cheered aloud for the much loved actor of the decade whose performance in a number of roles had set a benchmark for an acting profile.

He was the most loved actor across age groups and people knew him as the king of modern cinema.

“This was the first time he was nominated for the internationally renowned academy award and he never believed that he would win the same. But everyone except him was damn sure that he would be surely winning the same. His performance in the latest flick was way ahead of others and his work was tagged with a label of being the best a human personality can enact on screen.

As he stood from his designated place, he felt a strange sense of illusion. He was not even happy, neither he was proud of his achievement, but he managed to keep a fake expression of happiness across his face.

No doubt he was a great actor, no one could ever had made out from his expression that all he felt was emptiness. He was calm and composed as he walked to the stage and appeared confident while receiving the award. He was asked how he felt on receiving one of the most reputed title of the modern film industry. He looked at the audience which was waiting for him to speak, but today, speech was not his priority. A single sentence found its way to slip from his lips which shocked everyone and the host was perplexed and decided not to ask any further questions. He said, “It was a fulfilling journey for me and now I am retiring from my career and it was really a pleasure being loved by the industry and audience.”

This was the end of career for the most promising Indian actor who had made sure to leave indelible imprints of his existence on the global silver screen industry.
But no one knew why he did so…. Or for that matter, no one ever got hold of anything about his personal life or where he went… how he managed to carve such a successful career and then suddenly disappear without answering any questions…..

April 2014:

Away from fame and glamour of the modern world, sat a man in the far off lands of the north eastern India amid a beautiful landscape. As far as his vision allowed, all he could see was just a massive expanse of lush green meadows which were guarded by hills and mountains with overgrowing rich green forests.

There was a small cottage which was seen atop one of the low hills that surrounded the area and as the early morning sun was rising up at the horizon faint illumination was starting to light up the whole landscape.

On his right side sat a young boy who was just 14 and did not even knew why he was here. The last memories he had in his mind was the horrendous images of a fatal blast that occurred somewhere near which took toll of his parent’s life. It was a year since the incident but it seemed that he was experiencing death live every moment with each of his breath.

He felt lost and his life was directionless. With his parent’s sad demise, he was left with nothing and his world crumbled because he did not have any other relatives who would take care of him. His parents have questioned the very existence of caste system when they chose each other for marriage against the society and since that time, they were all by themselves.

So when this young boy lost his parents in a tragic incident, it was an end of world for him, only to begin his life with a new motive.

“It is always said that whenever you feel like questioning your faith and god, remember, god is the supreme entity and he knows what is best for you. Just except everything that he bestows you with and you would be fine.”

There is a silver lining in every cloud….

And the silver lining in this child’s life came in the form of a middle aged man named Sudhindra. Sudhindra was a spinster by choice and believed in sharing the message of happiness and love with everyone who is in need.

Sudhindra was a noble soul who would help every soul in the world and would travel far and wide across the country just like an ancient hermit. He did not had a family but believed that whole of the world is his family.

He found this child in one of the relief camp that was set up by the government just after a great terrorist blast by the Naxalite group in one of the urban centers of Jharkhand.

It is said that faith is the support for those who do not have anyone, and the child too got Sudhindra just because of his faith, but still he was unable to learn the art of living, and learn to control his mind and emotions on which he didn’t had any control.

Sudhindra saw immense glow on the child’s face the first time he saw and at the same time he had  decided the course of life for him…..

He would master the art of controlling his emotions and show the world what it is like to be someone you are not and hide your real self.

He would turn out to be the legendary Arnav Singh in the time to come……

To work as per my passion and not profession:

The greatest fear of anyone around us, is of being not able to grab a respectable position in this society. As it was said in a famous movie that if we do not score good marks, we will not be able to grab a good grad college, and if there is not a good grad college with good marks, there would be no placement, no placement means no job, no job means no salary and no salary means no marriage. This means our society at large, is moving just to prove themselves on just a single front, i.e. to prove that they are worth marrying?? Or for that case, to grab a job which pays them handsomely. Is it the only thing left in our lives, to get money and family and get settled? What about our own aspirations? Each one of us, during our development stage, begin to develop some hobbies, some passions which we feel connected to. Some are too mainstream and some might even not be known to anyone accept us. If we stick to one of our passion, we develop a skill related to it. It may be singing,...

How corporate professionalism helped me in learning the art of self-appreciation?

It’s been a long while that I wrote something for myself. Though being a full-time content writer, busy in playing with words all day long, who people think of as a word-wizard- never short of something to write, I have, of late, fell short of words to define what I feel about my passion. I started off as a content writer & still, I am that- it’s not that my passion has faded, it is still strong and growing every day, still I sometimes feel I am not doing much for myself. Writing every day for brands and companies- fuelling their aspirations to grow more and more through advertisements, e-mailers, marketing collaterals, etc., I have somehow felt guilty of not helping myself much with my growth journey. But is it my fault… or is it just situational? I am not the type who shifts the blame to professional or personal condition, so I take it upon myself for my mistake. I have not been much serious about my journey, passion and efforts. But through my realization, I came up wit...
