Similarly, as the physical environment around us is at great
pressure due to human intervention, our inner peace is also disturbed at large.
This is because the modern lifestyle is known to give a lot of reasons to worry
to an individual. People, due to work pressures or due to reasons out of there
control, tend to worry at large. This causes depletion of their happiness and
their soul, slowly. And this is what I call inner pollution. The phenomenon of
polluting one’s peace due to the modern lifestyle and worrying at large, is
what I call soul pollution. Just as physical contamination of harmful
substances in the environment can cause serious damage to our physical being,
mental stress leads to destruction of happiness in our lives. Just like we do
not stop breathing in case of pollution, we should make sure we do not lose our
calm in moments of apprehension. Just like we do not stop breathing in excess
pollution, we should make sure to keep our composure in moments that come
before us to test us in lives.
Do not ignore your worries, do not run away from
responsibilities, but try to remain in a state, which do not narrow your
perspective towards a thing or world, but broadens it. A wide perspective is
possible only if you have a clean soul, far from tensions, apprehensions and
worries. These will never leave you in the modern era, you have to start living
in a way, that enhance your capacity to fight, struggle and defeat them. Just
as pollution damages body, worries damage our soul. Feel calm, stay happy and
live life, do not just spend your days in surviving, cherish your moments
because they would never come back.
