Breathing in the era of pollution

In this era, when we experience pollution at peak levels, many of us wonder, how we are able to breathe in such an environment. If we look at the readings of harmful substances in the environment around us, we are shocked to find out how harmful it is for us to breathe. But, do we ever stop breathing? Do we ever do something that can bring about a change in these levels. Almost 90% of people are known to worry about such a situation but I am sure that not even 9% do something to bring about a change.
Similarly, as the physical environment around us is at great pressure due to human intervention, our inner peace is also disturbed at large. This is because the modern lifestyle is known to give a lot of reasons to worry to an individual. People, due to work pressures or due to reasons out of there control, tend to worry at large. This causes depletion of their happiness and their soul, slowly. And this is what I call inner pollution. The phenomenon of polluting one’s peace due to the modern lifestyle and worrying at large, is what I call soul pollution. Just as physical contamination of harmful substances in the environment can cause serious damage to our physical being, mental stress leads to destruction of happiness in our lives. Just like we do not stop breathing in case of pollution, we should make sure we do not lose our calm in moments of apprehension. Just like we do not stop breathing in excess pollution, we should make sure to keep our composure in moments that come before us to test us in lives.

Do not ignore your worries, do not run away from responsibilities, but try to remain in a state, which do not narrow your perspective towards a thing or world, but broadens it. A wide perspective is possible only if you have a clean soul, far from tensions, apprehensions and worries. These will never leave you in the modern era, you have to start living in a way, that enhance your capacity to fight, struggle and defeat them. Just as pollution damages body, worries damage our soul. Feel calm, stay happy and live life, do not just spend your days in surviving, cherish your moments because they would never come back.

To work as per my passion and not profession:

The greatest fear of anyone around us, is of being not able to grab a respectable position in this society. As it was said in a famous movie that if we do not score good marks, we will not be able to grab a good grad college, and if there is not a good grad college with good marks, there would be no placement, no placement means no job, no job means no salary and no salary means no marriage. This means our society at large, is moving just to prove themselves on just a single front, i.e. to prove that they are worth marrying?? Or for that case, to grab a job which pays them handsomely. Is it the only thing left in our lives, to get money and family and get settled? What about our own aspirations? Each one of us, during our development stage, begin to develop some hobbies, some passions which we feel connected to. Some are too mainstream and some might even not be known to anyone accept us. If we stick to one of our passion, we develop a skill related to it. It may be singing,...

How corporate professionalism helped me in learning the art of self-appreciation?

It’s been a long while that I wrote something for myself. Though being a full-time content writer, busy in playing with words all day long, who people think of as a word-wizard- never short of something to write, I have, of late, fell short of words to define what I feel about my passion. I started off as a content writer & still, I am that- it’s not that my passion has faded, it is still strong and growing every day, still I sometimes feel I am not doing much for myself. Writing every day for brands and companies- fuelling their aspirations to grow more and more through advertisements, e-mailers, marketing collaterals, etc., I have somehow felt guilty of not helping myself much with my growth journey. But is it my fault… or is it just situational? I am not the type who shifts the blame to professional or personal condition, so I take it upon myself for my mistake. I have not been much serious about my journey, passion and efforts. But through my realization, I came up wit...
