Venomous words

Do you know about venom? It is a liquid secreted by a snake through his sharp teeth that dig deep into the skin of its prey. The liquid is poisonous enough to make the prey inactive instantly and then slowly takes away the life out of it. Venom is poison, strong enough to take one’s precious life away. Snakes possess this deadly poison. But, a snake and its prey are creations of God, and they are made so to complete the food chain in the nature. It maintains a harmonious balance in the nature.

But these days another deadly poison have entered this living planet. This time it is not to maintain a particular balance but rather it is just to dominate others without any reason. A creation of God secrete it, but I guess he was not made to do so. This poison is more deadly than the snake’s poison as this one do not take life away from the prey but makes it live with the insult and gloom of being a prey. He is still inactive, maybe because of circumstances, but it is sure that if he falls prey to this venom, he is not the same anymore. This venom is called hate words. This have been a worldwide phenomenon and is used by both high profile criminals to common men. People lately seems like having found a new way to initiate a hate among fellow beings. By the use of harsh words, they try to dominate and often insult others. They find pleasure in making fun of others, making them feel low about themselves. They use the venom to make a person hollow from within. Like a snake, their words might seem to fall on ears but have a deep impact on the prey’s inner personality.

A person might not speak of the impacts harsh words have on him. He might appear the same. But one can understand his pain through his eyes. A prey is always afraid of his predator. Similarly, in the modern times, the predator is not any single person, but everyone who use the power of tongue on the one who he feels is weak.

One should understand that with the use of harsh tongue, harsh tone and harsh words, he can conquer one’s territory but not his heart. He can make him afraid that can never persuade the other one to love or help him willfully. A harsh tongue has no place in the human society and the one who falls prey, be it a weak person, a daughter-in-law, an exploited employee, a suppressed soul, should try to fight it not by equal level of venom but the medicine of love in return, because darkness can only be replaced by light, similarly, hate can also be conquered by an equal amount of love.

To work as per my passion and not profession:

The greatest fear of anyone around us, is of being not able to grab a respectable position in this society. As it was said in a famous movie that if we do not score good marks, we will not be able to grab a good grad college, and if there is not a good grad college with good marks, there would be no placement, no placement means no job, no job means no salary and no salary means no marriage. This means our society at large, is moving just to prove themselves on just a single front, i.e. to prove that they are worth marrying?? Or for that case, to grab a job which pays them handsomely. Is it the only thing left in our lives, to get money and family and get settled? What about our own aspirations? Each one of us, during our development stage, begin to develop some hobbies, some passions which we feel connected to. Some are too mainstream and some might even not be known to anyone accept us. If we stick to one of our passion, we develop a skill related to it. It may be singing,...

How corporate professionalism helped me in learning the art of self-appreciation?

It’s been a long while that I wrote something for myself. Though being a full-time content writer, busy in playing with words all day long, who people think of as a word-wizard- never short of something to write, I have, of late, fell short of words to define what I feel about my passion. I started off as a content writer & still, I am that- it’s not that my passion has faded, it is still strong and growing every day, still I sometimes feel I am not doing much for myself. Writing every day for brands and companies- fuelling their aspirations to grow more and more through advertisements, e-mailers, marketing collaterals, etc., I have somehow felt guilty of not helping myself much with my growth journey. But is it my fault… or is it just situational? I am not the type who shifts the blame to professional or personal condition, so I take it upon myself for my mistake. I have not been much serious about my journey, passion and efforts. But through my realization, I came up wit...
