The love behind my silence

‘Everytime I look towards you, my heart skips a beat.
Every single day when I find you close to me, my life seems complete.
I know I could not express, I know I could not impress.
The silence between us is like a hurdle, I look upon myself as a burden. No matter how much I love you from the core of my heart, I know we are meant to be far, miles apart.
Not in distances but in lives, separated by our way of thinking, our fortunes not meant to be bright….’

Anant wrote every day, a page especially for her. He knew she never  noticed her and in no way he could be noticed in the social circles. He was born to be silent. He couldn’t speak. But yes he had feelings, like any other human being he demanded love, he deserved love. Since he knew the word love, only one person crossed his mind day and night, she was the girl next door, Shanaya. She brought up in a richer family than Anant’s seemed far away from his reach. It was not that she believed in class conflict, but she never contacted Anant. As anant could never speak up, no one knew about the love anant has for Shanaya in his heart. Only his writings knew what he had in his heart. He wanted the world to know that he had feelings, he had a heart. What if he was dumb, he still was a human. What if his world was meant to be guided by sign language, his heart was still guided by feelings. He wished somehow someone could make Shanaya understand what she means to him. He could not do that task as he believed it to be a sin to express his love to her without knowing her stance. He knew Shanaya inside out. He knew how she helped everyone who contacted her. He knew she had a golden heart and was the epitome of love and care. He had always demanded attention of anyone who could make him feel special instead of a burden. His disability has always disappointed him. No matter how talented he was at his work, no one took him seriously due to his disability. He knew that a girl like Shanaya could possibly understand his nature. He fell in love with her one day when he saw Shanaya helping a poor little dog who was stuck amidst mud pool on a stormy night. He knew what sort of personality Shanaya was and wanted such a girl to be a part of his life. He felt love the moment his eyes crossed Shanaya.

‘ Kaash Bata Paate Ki pyar hai dil mein…
Kaash suna paate jo alfaaz hain dil mein….
Kehne ko hai bahut kuch tumhe….
Kaash pahuncha paate wo aawaz….
Jo hai nahi mukkaddar mein….’

Cried he slept each day due to lack of someone who understood his feelings……

Just to inform the reader, Shanaya herself is a dumb and deaf girl who lives her life to the fullest…….

To be continued…..

To work as per my passion and not profession:

The greatest fear of anyone around us, is of being not able to grab a respectable position in this society. As it was said in a famous movie that if we do not score good marks, we will not be able to grab a good grad college, and if there is not a good grad college with good marks, there would be no placement, no placement means no job, no job means no salary and no salary means no marriage. This means our society at large, is moving just to prove themselves on just a single front, i.e. to prove that they are worth marrying?? Or for that case, to grab a job which pays them handsomely. Is it the only thing left in our lives, to get money and family and get settled? What about our own aspirations? Each one of us, during our development stage, begin to develop some hobbies, some passions which we feel connected to. Some are too mainstream and some might even not be known to anyone accept us. If we stick to one of our passion, we develop a skill related to it. It may be singing,...

How corporate professionalism helped me in learning the art of self-appreciation?

It’s been a long while that I wrote something for myself. Though being a full-time content writer, busy in playing with words all day long, who people think of as a word-wizard- never short of something to write, I have, of late, fell short of words to define what I feel about my passion. I started off as a content writer & still, I am that- it’s not that my passion has faded, it is still strong and growing every day, still I sometimes feel I am not doing much for myself. Writing every day for brands and companies- fuelling their aspirations to grow more and more through advertisements, e-mailers, marketing collaterals, etc., I have somehow felt guilty of not helping myself much with my growth journey. But is it my fault… or is it just situational? I am not the type who shifts the blame to professional or personal condition, so I take it upon myself for my mistake. I have not been much serious about my journey, passion and efforts. But through my realization, I came up wit...

On a path to glory

I have been lost before. in a pool of confusions, that delve inside my head. I have been lost before, in a tide of self-doubt, that crept inside my heart.. I have been lost before, in the guilt of underperforming I have been lost before, at nights with unstoppable mourning Through the years I learned, it does not matter If I am lost, I will surely be found And if no one finds me, I myself will one day walk past this maze To do something worthwhile and to amaze All those who laughed at the time when I was lost All those who created a sense of self-doubt, who made me face this ghost I have learned that the fears are just inside All we have is a beautiful world with opportunities, that is real and is outside So, I rise again from this pool of confusion, Yes I rise again from this guilt and emotion, I know am hard at heart when it comes to the topic of self-achievement But what is an achievement, without a little attitude All I want you is to kno...
